Our stocks of food are very low and we are experiencing quite a high demand with the start of the school holidays and some benefit changes as a result of the roll out of Universal Credit. We welcome all donations of food, and we are especially short of tins of hot and cold meat, tinned fish, packets of rice, tinned rice, tinned custard, small bags of sugar and small jars of coffee.
In 2017 the Food Bank prepared 1009 emergency food parcels providing a weeks' worth of food to nearly 1900 people. This was slightly more than the previous year, when we distributed
978 food parcels helping 1600 people.
