The Hereford Food Bank works though a system of referrals from various statutory and voluntary agencies.
If you need food assistance then you need to contact one of these agencies or individuals.
A list of agencies can be found here.
Please contact one of them and tell them about your crisis. They will notify us by telephone and we will arrange for your food parcel to be prepared. Normally this will be enough to feed you and any family members for 7 days.
We know that lots of people are struggling at the moment and if you are not sure if you qualify for a food parcel you can always ring us and ask - 01432 607011 on weekdays between 10 and 3.
As term draws to a close, we would like to remind you of the change to legislation that has been made around the cost of school uniforms and the school's duty to make affordable and second hand uniform available. Last September we had an increase of families turning to the Food Bank because the cost of uniforms had left them without money for food.
With the increased cost of living this will be repeated in larger numbers unless we take action in promoting options for second hand and affordable uniform.
